Well so many of you ask after these old Japanese retro 70’s Seiko watches, and I am not at all surprised…

This is a classic plain 70’s Seiko watch, time / date, stainless steel strap. Bit of a simple eye-catcher this, subtle retro style.

This is an interesting piece of watch. It’s a Japanese retro watch by Seiko – it has chronograph, and the date in English AND Japanese… groovy eh?

It’s got a beige face and is in a nice shiny stainless steel casing and branded Seiko strap. These photos don’t do the watch justice. This is a stunning vintage watch – also fairly big, measuring up at 40mm across, 42mm up and down and a chunky 12mm deep. Nice! As you can see from the photos, the watch has a bizarre shape – 6 sided – I’m not sure what you call a 6 sided shape (answers on a postcard…. is it a hexagon? Like a 50p piece) – anyhoo, it’s a corker!

Yes, this is a Seiko LCD watch – unused – still has the wee protective sticker on the back. It’s in brand new condition. It’s packed with features, which you can see from the close-up shot below.

In design terms, its plain monotone colour scheme and simple designs are ultra cool. The use of on-screen LCD graphics are pretty timeless, and the groovy Seiko 70’s fonts on the face are really nice. This watch has a very retro ’sculpted’ strap – it’s not in A1 condition, but I kept it on the watch because it’s REALLY cool and it really matches the watch. The end of the strap comes to a tapered end (like the Spaceman straps) and was worth leaving on…

Good watch, good price.
