Yes…. This is a Spaceman Audacieuse in blue. I won’t bore you with the spiel about Andre Le Marquand (again!) ’cause you can read all about this unique watch and its maker on the PDF’s elsewhere at this site.
However, this is a dark blue Audacieuse – and it’s extremely rare. Men tend to prefer dark blue or black watches, I know this ’cause I’m a man, and whilst the red Spaceman watches are cool, they are not DARK BLUE like this baby!!
I’m not sure what the colour of blue on the face is actually called, I think it may be royal blue. It’s very nice indeed. The watch strap is leather and wax lacquered on the outside – the colour of the strap is mostly dark blue but has a kind of subtle black through it as well… sort of 2 tone thing, but VERY subtle – it’s just too cool.
This Spaceman’s helmet is bright and shiny (no giggling at the back!) and generally this watch is in great condition.
Standard Audacieuse big chunkyness – 38mm x 38mm x 12mm.
You can look for the rest of your days, and you won’t find a watch as cool as this. It’s an investment too, ’cause these watches go up in price all the time.
It was such a shiny sunny day when I took these photos that the watch looks black – it is NOT black – it is blue. And also, on that photo, those wee white bits are minute flakes of dust – THAT’S how sunny it was in the photo-taking room. I long for snow and frost…
