Lovely Seiko LCD watch here from the M-series. Not entirely sure what the model year is on this one – 1979 I think – maybe a Seiko nerd out there can let me know?

Hello! This is a new watch to The Retro World – it’s a new-produced watch (takes battery, quartz time etc) but it’s, without a shadow of a doubt, in a retro-stylee.
Watch has a stainless steel body, LARGE square face – in stylish black. The time is displayed in the classic “jump hour” fashion. It’s a great watch to look at, a real conversation-starter… trouble starts when somone asks you the time! It can be a bit tricky to find out. Maybe it’s just me being stupid. However, most folk just say “nice watch!”, not “nice watch! Can you tell me the time please?”.

Greetings Retro lovers… here’s a rather natty wee Casio watch, with a mid-late 80’s stylee. It’s about the same dimensions as the Casio Illuminator watch, and has all the essential features you’d expect from an LCD watch…alarm, light etc.

Well this is the black version of the jump hour Lob-time retro watch. It’s a new produced watch, battery driven, with a good old fashioned retro “jump hour” style. Slightly odd trying to work out what time it is on these things, but hey… that’s not the point really is it?? The point is having something utterly funky, chunky, retro and magnificent on your wrist!

This watch has large dimensions, a wide face and unique shapes and contours. Lovely all-plastic piece, with utterly adorable strap makes this the ideal every-day watch.

Once in a while a watch comes along that takes my breath away. This is one of them. I LOVE this piece. It’s an LCD watch, but the display is in red… it has a stop watch and all the other standard digital watch features, but the devil is in the design…

It’s chunky, it has a sturdy steel case, it’s heavy, it has a GREAT strap and it sits really well on the wrist.

I had a few Spoon Pulsar watches on the site a while back (Like this, and this and this) and you folks gobbled them up like zombies in 28 Days Later, and frankly I don’t blame you. Well THIS Spoon model is MUCH nicer than those ones. Fact.

You can’t get these watches for love nor money these days, so don’t delay…

This is an unusual piece. It’s a new build, retro watch with what can only be described as a lightshow that tells the time… ok you might need a university degree to tell the time, but I know that the Retro World website visitors are an intelligent bunch!

This watch has a large square face, 2 simple buttons, a clean design, and a nice leather strap. When asked the time, the LED display “dances” to reveal the hours and minutes. It’s a cracking novely watch, best used in dark areas! Utterly useless if you’re carrying a bag of shopping in each hand, and someone asks you the time. That’s the only drawback for this utterly luscious timepiece though. Enjoy!

This is a nifty wee Casio retro LCD watch with all the usual functions, but a slightly unusual illuminating function…

Comes with all the Casio tags etc, and is a very decent “every day” watch with a touch of retro unusualness. Is that a word? Not sure. However, it’s unusualness lies in it’s illuminationness. You click on the light button and a very distinctive, and highly retro, blue light is activated! Booya! You gotta love it.

Nice, new, retro-style Japanese piece here. Very rare, very unusual…

Bit of an oddball this watch, but it’s certainly unique, and certainly a talking-point. You click on the button which emits a dancing scatter LED effect in red. In the photos it looks a bit orange, but I assure you it lights up in red LED dots in reality! When you click the button, the LED scatter effect dances a merry jig across the screen, tells you the time, and then shuts off! Awesome!

It’s a really unusual watch this, who else but the Japanese could come up with such a novel idea. However, I think it still manages to be retro in a kind of Buck Roger’s style. Younger viewers can find out who Buck Rogers was via Wikipedia…
