This is the second of the two Russian LCD watches that I am liking right now.

Wee bit more subtle than the other one, wee bit sportier looking maybe. Still very retro, and very cool. Goes well with almost anything in your wardrobe this watch.

Well, there are plenty of funky LCD watches out there… but this is special.

Sure there are nice old Casios and Seikos, but you don’t see many nice old LCD watches from Russia. I just love the small details on this watch – it has a horse on it for God’s sake!

Don’t ask me to translate any of the features on the watch, my Russian is not up to scratch. I’m fluent in retro fashion though, and this watch is stylish to the max!

By that I mean watches which are almost contemporary… almost look like newly made watches, but BAM! Something about them is unmistakably retro. In this case, the retro font / watch name “Globus” is gloriously retro, as well as the details on the face.

This is a classic retro watch by Swiss brand Tressa. In brown! The ultimate retro colour!

This is the epitome of the “dress” watch for me. It’s NOS, 1970′s, and really draws a lot of attention.

The fabulously retro brown colour and 1970′s font lettering on the face make this utterly adorable! The rectangular steel shaped casing sits nicely on the wrist, and it’s not a hugely bulky watch – again, making it a nice “dress” watch. Yes I stole the text here from the OTHER Tressa watch on the site, yes I’m lazy. You rumbled me.

Check out the contours, check out the colours on the face, check out the day / date feature. I’m a particular fan of the colour maroon (it’s a football thing!) hence this watch really floats my boat.

Stainless steel casing, automatic movement, white face, NOS condition, nice metal strap. This is a big watch – definitely a man sized watch this one.

This is magic! An LCD watch from the 80′s in mint condition! Alarm, stopwatch, all the shiznit you could need!

I love watches like this. From the name “Armitron”, to the wee grid at the top – which almost looks like an air conditioning unit letting steam out of the vent! But it’s not, by the way.

It’s an NOS LCD watch – alarm, stopwatch, light etc – all in perfect nick. Easy to work out HOW one uses this watch too! That’s a blessing. I mean, I love all these jump hour watches etc, but sometimes telling the time on them is a bit of a guessing game. This watch however is straightforward, has a really awesome stainless steel strap, and just transports me back to the 80′s at a glance! Love it!

Lanco Gold Retro Watch

Nice back to basics retro watch this. It’s from the house of Lanco with gold and silver steel.

This is a classic NOS 1970′s Lanco watch, and that puts it in the “retro” category. However, it’s a very contemporary-stylish watch too. Some nice contours on the gold casing and a nice stroked gold “sunburst” effect on the actual watch face. Very subtle, but very nice. Comes on a brown leather strap, which compliments the gold and silver nicely.
