Bulova 1958 Sunburst watch

This is a classic 1958 Sunburst watch – take a peek at the face below to see why it’s so aptly named.

I’ve just had new glass fitted to it, and the watch face has been cleaned – this watch is simply looking stunning at the moment. It’s like when you see a classic vintage car which has been buffed up to a seriously high level….that’s what this watch reminds me of!

I almost replaced the strap on this watch (a spiedel strap) because it looks a little tatty, however I was led to believe that this may in fact be the original strap for this watch!! This could well be the most amazing watch at the site at the moment. If only a watch could tell a story….!

This watch is older than most of the people who look at this site! There is a little wear on the ‘hours’ hand, but nothing major.

This watch is one of those watches which photos simply do not do justice. It’s SO nice & shiny!!

As I’ve said, they don’t make watches like this anymore. This watch is so dinky and so petite. It’s a mens watch but they made watches smaller in this period, and it just makes for such a unique wee timepiece.

I hope this watch goes to a collector, and takes good care of it – it’s simply beautiful..
