A hearty warm welcome to my humble site. If you've already had a browse around the pages, you'll see the kind of watches I'm selling - 70's watches, LED watches, LCD watches, jump hour watches - to summarise, Retro Watches.

I'm a watch collector, and I hoard watches a little, but eventually I'll resell them and let someone else enjoy them. I don't just buy any old watch, I buy watches which are considered collectible. I am a keen fan of watches from the mid 60's onwards, and I'd urge anyone tp track down books like the Doensen book. Similar books are available, and I think if you like the watches on this site, you'll really enjoy these books.


A site for designers as well as watch lovers...

The book I mentioned above was strictly for watches which the author considered well-designed. I'm trying to fill this site with similar watches, and design lovers - looking for something VERY different to wear on their wrist - will enjoy the watches at The Retro World. People will ask where you've got your new watch, cause you certainly won't find watches like these in a high street store.


What's a Digital Watch?

Well, that sounds like a stupid question, but you'll find lots of digital (manual wind up) watches at this site which, inevitably don't use batteries. The digital watches here should run for a very long time, without the need or reliance on a battery. Just remember to keep them wound!
